ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

January 16, 2024



CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Jon Kobylarz. There were 16 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES: The Minutes of the December 2023 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.

TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by Tom Matthews. It was moved, seconded, and passed to approve the Report. A copy of the Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. The Club’s 180 Day CD at ANB was rolled over for another 180 days at 4.25% interest.

CORESPONDENCE: None.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Rifle Committee reports there were 10 shooters at the January RF-BR 100 Match and $30.00 was turned in to the Club. Rich Dacher is putting together an “Outreach Committee” to promote the Club and membership. He will get a Club Membership List and submit a plan of action and budget.

OLD BUSINESS: The Club’s 180 day CD was rolled over for another 180 days at 4.24% interest. There are 2 new short-range pistol pits and one existing one was extended. They will need gravel placed in them. Planning is under way for additional shooting benches, tables, and covers on the firing line. A prefabricated 10’X10’ shelter is one suggestion. We have a new rifle rack on the firing line of the 100-yard range, on the South Ranges. A photo is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. Chemical control of weeds on our ranges was again discussed and a chemical and equipment study was presented. The study is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

NEW BUSINESS: The Calendar is now set. It will be put on the Club’s website, printed in the forthcoming Newsletter, and some copies also printed. The Audit Committee was appointed, consisting of Jon Kobylarz, Rich Dacher, and Gene Dreher. The Club will get an Agricultural Burn Permit for 2024 from Mesa County for use in weed control. There was discussion on permanently anchoring the new rifle rack on the South Ranges.

ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:35 PM by the President.
