ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

May 15, 2012

 

CALL TO ORDER:  The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Chuck Lopas.  There were 15 members present.  The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The minutes of the April, 2012 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary, and accepted as corrected.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the report.

CORESPONDENCE:  None

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  The Schuetzen Match had 4 shooters and $12.00 was turned in.  The High Power Match had 10 shooters and $30.00 was turned in.  The Hunter Benchrest Match had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in.  There were 11 Club Members in attendance at the work day.  A list of who attended is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Two loads were transported to the dump, and the wood pile was worked on.

OLD BUSINESS:  Jerry Bush has agreed to assume the office of Vice President for the remainder of 2012.  In 2013 Eric Kjldgaard will assume this office as soon as he has been a member of the Club long enough to qualify.  The 4H Tri-River will be on June 2 and will use the entire range.  A range use plan is attached to and made a part of these minutes.  Items returned to the Club by the Grand Valley Marksmen were purchased by sealed bid during the meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:  Additional volunteers are needed for the Schuetzen Regional Match.  The Savage Arms representative will again have a demonstration of various rifles at the range on September 15, 2012.  There will also be a work day and public sight in day on this date.  All members and the public are welcome to attend.  This day the first 3 shots with the center fire rifles will be free and additional ones will require paying a fee.  All shots with rimfire rifles will be free.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members it was moved, seconded and passed to adjourn.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:56 by the President.
