ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
August 20, 2013
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Chuck Lopas. There were 11 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the July, 2013 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as corrected.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the report.
CORESPONDENCE: Proof of liability insurance for the Savage Arms display was received. It is attached to and made a part of these minutes. A letter from a Law Firm soliciting interest in handling litigation should any group dispute the Club regarding lead contamination was received.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: The July High Power match had 7 shooters and $21.00 was turned in to the Club. The Appleseed Project had 18 shooters and $15.00 was turned in. The Hunter Benchrest had 4 shooters and $12.00 was turned in.
OLD BUSINESS: Dan Mayer will be reminded of the need to return the $300.00 of seed money he was advanced for the pistol completion he proposed to begin. The front gate to the Range will need to be replaced. This will be done during the upcoming work day in September as will weed control and general trash pickup.
NEW BUSINESS: The possibility of getting a grant for the completion of the 4H shooting area improvements was discussed. Members will be e-mailed regarding bringing weed eaters to the work day. There will be work done on the north rimfire range, and the shotgun area by the 4H group.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members it was moved, seconded and passed to adjourn. The Meeting was adjourned at 8:09 PM by the President.
