ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
November 19, 2013
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Chuck Lopas. There were 19 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the October, 2013 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the report.
CORESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: None.
OLD BUSINESS: Pictures of the Club House remodeling have now been posted on the Club’s web site. The project paid in part by a $4000 grant from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Dept. was spearheaded by Club members Art Bennett and Erb Dynes. Letters of appreciation are attached to and made a part of these minutes. The club will submit the necessary paper work to the Dept. to receive the grant funds soon. All the bills associated with this project have been paid. The proposed range improvements for the 4H shooters are ongoing.
NEW BUSINESS: The annual e-filing of the Club to the Colorado Secretary of State has been submitted. A copy of this filing is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Plans for improvements in roadways and walking paths at the range were discussed at length. Work parties will be needed for this and it is hoped this can be completed yet this year, weather permitting. The Audit Committee will be composed of Eric Kjeldgaard, Allan Chicon, and they will select a third member. The Committee will meet with the Treasurer in early January for the audit. At a recent Board of Directors Meeting it was decided to propose the selection of a Communications Director to work with the Officers, Board, and web master to improve communications with club members and hopefully improve member participation in club activities. Gene Dreher expressed interest in this position.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members, it was moved, seconded and passed to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 PM by the President.
