ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

May 20, 2014

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 10 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the April, 2014 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary, and approved as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurer gave his report.  It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the report.  A copy of the report is attached to and made a part of these minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  None

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  The May High Power Match had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in.  The Schutzen Regional Match is in June.  A motion to allow the consumption of beer and wine at the range, following the completion of the Saturday match in conjunction with the barbeque was made, seconded and passed.  Pat Weber also ask for volunteers to help with the match, and reminded those present it would count as participation for the drawing of the July $50.00 gift card.

OLD BUSINESS:  All gravel approved has been delivered and spread.  The 4H shooters plan to level and clean up the 22 rifle pit at the north end of the property.  When this is completed the Club will spread gravel in this pit.  The May work day was very successful.  The 2 target sheds were cleaned up; steel was moved to the steel target shed, trash was hauled away, the rifle racks, bleachers, and ready line were painted, the toilets were cleaned, insectide was applied to the target sheds, weeds were sprayed with herbicide, and some shelving was partially assembled.  A list of members participating is attached to and made a part of these minutes.  Those in attendance will be eligible for a drawing for a $50.00 gift card to be held at the June meeting.  Tom Mathews has an estimate that repairing the roof of the target sheds will cost approximately $1,000 plus labor if needed.

NEW BUSINESS:  Left over 3 ring binders are available to club members who want them.  A stamp for the Treasurer will be purchased.  The downloadable application on the Club’s web site is misleading and needs revision.  Art Bennett and Tom Mathews will work on doing this.  The Nosler Club Pricing list was shared with members.  The order will be sent in about 2 weeks.  Anyone interested in purchasing bullets should contact Jeff Howard.  A discussion was held regarding the Club purchasing a used self propelled lawn mower to help keep the weeds mowed on the covered firing line.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members it was moved, seconded, and passed to adjourn.  The Meeting was adjourned at 823 PM by the President.

Respectfully submitted
