ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
October 21, 2014
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 10 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the September, 2014 Members Meeting were read by the Vice President and accepted as revised.
TREASURERS REPORT: The September, 2014 Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the Report. A copy of the Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Schutzen group had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in.
OLD BUSINESS: The cost for having PayPal handle memberships and renewals would be $1.75 for a $50.00 transaction and $2.52 for an $80.00 transaction. Hank Mlinarich submitted a report to the Board of Directors concerning the value of the target rifles returned to the Club by the Grand Valley Marksmen. A copy of this report is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Suggestions for the disposal of this property followed. The Board of Directors will meet to determine how this will be done. It was moved, seconded and passed to allow members to post items for sale on the Club’s Bulletin Board. There were 15 people who attended the Savage Arms presentation. At the September work day there were 9 members present. A list of those in attendance is attached to and made a part of these minutes. The red firing line on the North Range was repainted, the target shed was reorganized, bleachers were painted, trash barrels emptied, fences checked, and the target shed roof repaired.
NEW BUSINESS: The Nominating Committee was formed. Tom Mathews, Art Bennett, and Eric Kjeldgaard are the Committee members. The drawing for the Work Day participant’s $50.00 gift card was won by Hank Mlinarich, and the Third Quarter participation drawing for a $50.00 gift card was won by Eric Kjeldgaard. There was discussion about the Club helping with ammunition for junior shooters.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members, it was moved, seconded and passed to adjourn. The Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM by the President.
