ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

November 18, 2014

 

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 13 members present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the October Members Meeting were read by the Secretary and accepted as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The October, 2014 Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the Report.  A copy is attached to and made a part of these minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  None.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  The Nominating Committee reported all current officers have agreed to accept nomination for another term as officers in 2015. 

OLD BUSINESS:  The Board of Directors has set the price for the rimfire target rifles recently returned to the Club, and the method for their disposal.  This will start March 31, 2015.

NEW BUSINESS:  The Club has been approached by the local Chapter of the Well Armed Women Shooting Chapters to allow their group to use the Clubs range.  They have provided proof of liability insurance, and agreed to pay the required range fee.  The members of this group will receive firearms instruction before they use our range.  The Board of Directors approved their use of our facility and they will be using the south pistol pits when they are scheduled on next year’s Shooting Calendar.  Jim Ingalls from the Mesa County 4H shooters submitted a request for the group’s use of our range nest year.  He is the new coordinator for the 4H shooters.  The 4H shooters wish to move their practice from Friday evenings to Thursday evenings.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members it was moved, seconded and passed to adjourn.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:52 by the President.
