ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
October 18, 2016
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 11 members present and 2 guests. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present. A Certificate of Appreciation signed by the 4H shooters was presented to the Club by Melisa Brown.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the September Members Meeting were read by the Vice President in the absence of the Secretary, and accepted as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy of the Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORRESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: There were 3 shooters at the October Schutzen Match and $15.00 was turned in to the Club. There were 8 people at the October 8 Work Day. Three loads of trash were taken to the landfill, the rail road ties were moved to the drainage ditch between the 100 and 200 yard berms on the North Range to help prevent erosion. Two signs were put up. One of the gongs at 300 yards was repaired. There were a total of 22 people at all of the Public Sight in Days. Five were non members and 2 have joined the Club. There have been 9 new members so far this Month. The Club received $50.00 in donations at the Sight in Days.
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: Allan Chicon presented a proposal that Club Officers and BOD members be exempted from paying renewal fees in order to encourage members of the Club to become involved and future officers. Following discussion the matter was tabled. A copy of the proposal is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. The Nominating Committee was appointed consisting of Tom Mathews, Allan Chicon and Bruce McBride
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM, by the President.
