ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

June 20, 2017

 

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 10 members and 2 guests present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the May, 2017 Meeting were read and approved as corrected.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report.  A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  None.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  There were 6 people at the May 20th work day.  They did some painting and mowing of the North Range.  Schutzen had 5 shooters at the June match and turned in $15.00 to the Club.  There were five shooters at the June Hunter Bench Rest match and $15.00 was turned in.  High Power had 5 shooters at the June match and $15.00 was turned in.

OLD BUSINESS:  Lane Gunn and another guest from Cleary Building presented the Company's proposal for the erection of a 18'X40' structure to replace the current storage and target shed behind the North Range firing line.  This proposal is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.  A lengthy discussion followed regarding this proposal.  The guests provided an estimated cost for a 18'X32' building.  Location of doors was discussed and the guests assured us the North Range could continue to be used during construction.  A motion was made, seconded and passed to build a 18'X40' building with the proposal submitted in general, with possible minor changes to be determined at a later date.  The Cleary Building representatives stated the building material would be ordered and they anticipate up to 90 days for its arrival and construction to be about 1 week.  The Club will procure the necessary Building Permit from Mesa County.

NEW BUSINESS:  None.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members, the Meeting was adjourned at 8:35 PM by the President.
