ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

January 16, 2018

 

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 9 members present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the December 2017 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the Report.  A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  A letter from Dufford Waldeck Milburn & Kroon LLP the Clubs legal counsel detailing the hourly rates for 2018 was received.  It is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.  The warranty from Cleary Building Corp. for the new building was received.  It is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  The Audit Committee will meet next Saturday January 20, 2018 to finish the Annual Audit for 2017.

OLD BUSINESS:  We now have a stencil for labeling our target frames as OMGC property.  The 2018 Club Calendar is available.  It will be posted on the Club’s web site and in the next Newsletter.  Jon Koblarz will also work on the Newsletter.  There have been no further sales of the rifles owned by the Club.  The wheel on the gate to the Range was replaced, but a better on will replace it in the Spring.

NEW BUSINESS:  The Newsletter will be produced by Tom Mathews, Jeff Howard, and Jon Koblarz.  The new lock combination will be in it.  CMU Continuing Education now offers a class that qualifies a person to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit.  The Grand Valley Training Club also offers this training.  There was discussion about the Club sponsoring a shooting materials sale for interested Club members to sell things they no longer use to other Club members and the public during the Public Sight In Day next September. 

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members, the Meeting was adjourned at 7:50 PM by the President.
