ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

 

June 19, 2018

 

 

 

CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 14 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

 

MINUTES: The Minutes of the May 2018 Members Meeting were read by Tom Matthews and approved as read.

 

TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

 

CORRESPONDENCE: A letter from the NRA Political Victory Fund was received. The Club had donated $250.00 to the NRA-ILA in January 2016. Following discussion, it was moved, seconded and passed to donate $250.00 to the NRA-PVF.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS: There were 17 shooters at the Schutzen Regional Match in May and $51.00 was turned in to the Club. There were 12 shooters at the June Rimfire Bench Rest Match and $36.00 was turned in. There were 5 shooters at the June High Power Match and $15.00 was turned in.

 

OLD BUSINESS: There was discussion regarding replacement of warning signs on our perimeter. A sample was shown and is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. A grommet and washer with tool were also discussed. It was moved, seconded and passed to purchase 100 signs at $6.50 each and 1,000 grommets and washers for $63.20 including the tool and shipping. There was also discussion regarding a large sign to be placed at our main gate and near 32 Road/SR 141. Discussion was tabled, and Tom Matthews will get information on cost and size. A copy of this proposed sign is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. The old target shed is partially removed. Eric Kjeldgaard plans to have it completely removed by the Mesa County 4H Fair shoot on July 14.

 

NEW BUSINESS: None.

 

ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:06 PM by the President.
