ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
April 16, 2019
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were fourteen members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the March 2019 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy of this Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Schutzen had 4 shooters and $12.00 was turned in. The Axis vs. Allies Battle Rifle Match had 11 shooters and $33.00 was turned in. The April High Power Match had 3 shooters and $9.00 was turned in. The Hunter Bench Rest Match had 4 shooters and $12.00 was turned in. The Postal Rim Fire Bench Rest Match had 6 shooters and $18.00 was turned in.
OLD BUSINESS: The Outdoor Heritage volunteers will set up the OMGC BB shooting range at 8:00 AM on Saturday April 27. All necessary supplies are available. The kids will be given their targets after they shoot. There were 19 members at the March Workday. Eric Kjeldgaard used his tractor to blade the roads and relocate the gravel. Weeds from last fall and other wood and trash were burned. The trash barrels were taken to the Land Fill. The target shed was cleaned up. Trash was picked up all over the range. The spraying of the range for weed control was completed over several days.at a cost of $1,050.00. It was moved, seconded and passed to pay the $50.00 over the original budget. The new perimeter warning signs with steel gromets will be place about every third gap between posts.
NEW BUSINESS: Tom Mathews filed the Property Tax Exemption with the State. It is estimated this saved the Club at least $8,104.00 in property taxes. The Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. The 4H shooters will be asked to help make some improvements to the Rim Fire Rifle Range with the Club providing some funding.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:03 PM by the President.
