ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
November 19, 2019
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 11 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the October 2019 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The October Treasurers Report was given by the Vice President. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Nominating Committee reports the current officers will be ask if they would be willing to continue another year. Any interested member meeting the qualifications is encouraged to contact a member of the Committee. The floor will be opened for additional candidates at the December Members Meeting, prior to the election. A copy of the Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
OLD BUSINESS: A letter to Big Willy’s thanking them for the donation of a trailer has been sent. A discussion on the weed problem included points about burning weeds in place and possibly better chemicals that can be used. The Board of Directors will decide on a course of action at its January 2020 Annual Meeting. Some weeds were burned recently. The batteries for the solar powered electrical system will be replaced soon. This is the first time they needed replacing and we had good longevity from the initial set.
NEW BUSINESS: Christene Teal with 4H sent a letter to the Club regarding construction of an archery range for their use and member use somewhere on the Club’s property. The 4H people would assist with the construction. There was general agreement that this should be undertaken. There was further discussion regarding additional range improvements and the President illustrated some of these with overlays on a photo of the Club’s property. The 2019 Audit Committee will be Eric Kjeldgaard, Jon Kobylarz, and Vernon Bakker. The Annual Report of the Club and the Colorado Secretary of State has been e-filed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Tom Mathews. A copy of the filing is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. The Club now has two Colorado state flags and two United States flags for the flagpole.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:25 PM by the President.
