ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
August 18, 2020
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 7 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the July 2020 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: An email was received from Robert Gray with the NRA regarding a “Day of Action” to be held August 29th beginning at 9:30 AM, starting at the Cabela’s parking lot. It is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: There were 4 shooters at the July Schutzen Match and $12.00 was turned in to the Club. There were 7 shooters at the BR-50 Match and $21.00 was turned in. High Power had 8 shooters and $24.00 was turned in. The 100 yard Rim Fire BR Match had 8 shooters and $24.00 was turned in.
OLD BUSINESS: The Buffalo Grass for the test plot will cost $13.20 per pound and it is approved for purchase. A representative from Cleary Building visited the Target Shed to inspect the fallen insulation. We will continue to work with him. There was discussion about using a riding mower to help control the weeds on the ranges. It was suggested we might rent one to see how good a job it does.
NEW BUSINESS: We need a place to put notices for members around the main gate and on the South Range and possibly the North side of the Target Shed. There was discussion on advertising for the upcoming Public Sight-In Days. It needs to be stressed that the Club does not require a Hunting or Fishing License to participate.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:11 PM by the President.
