ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

 

August 17, 2021

 

 

 

CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 9 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

 

MINUTES: The Minutes of the July Members Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.

 

TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

 

CORESPONDENCE: A copy of the letter sent to the attorney for the Lee Boren Estate asking that his family be informed of the Club’s donation to Wounded Warrior Project in Lee’s name, and the acknowledgement of the receipt of the donation from Wounded Warrior Project are attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS: There were 7 shooters at the August BR-50 Match and $21.00 was turned in to the Club. High Power had 8 shooters and $24.00 was turned in. RF-BR had 12 shooters and $36.00 was turned in. Eric Kjeldgaard gave a report on the recent International Schutzen National Match in Raton NM, attended by several Club Members.

 

OLD BUSINESS: There was discussion on what will be needed for the upcoming Workday to repair the 200-yard target line. Road base, a rented compactor, 500 gallons of water as well as shovels and rakes for weed control were mentioned. A new Colorado State Flag will be put up.

 

NEW BUSINESS: There will need to be exterior prep work on the Club House before stucco can be applied. It is permissible for the Club to engage in political activity with our tax-exempt status. The issue between a Club member and his guest and a 4H Shooting Coach is still pending.

 

ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:13 PM by the President.
